3 Ideas for the Nature Center

As a part of this course, we are going to help the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge increase their awareness and engagement within the Fort Worth Community and improve their branding on social media. Three ideas I have that can help them with our classes' goals are to: 

1. Join the Find Your Park Campaign (https://findyourpark.com/)
1. This website is an online platform where people can look for a specific activity or try to locate a park near them. Parks can use this site to advertise recreational activities they offer, share images of nature at their park, and encourage volunteer opportunities to the public. Additionally, once a page is created, park visitors can then submit pictures of their experiences.
2. Mini-Series
1. I think it could be fun to create mini-series of interviewing the workers at the nature center, doing entertaining but educational videos with the different plants or animals at the refuge, or getting onto the radar of Moms in area, who are looking for affordable, educational, and fun things to do with their young children. 
3. Making a Mascot 
1. I think Dog, the Alligator, is a super unique and interesting member of the Nature Center team! I think giving Dog some screen time through trends would be a fantastic way to engage a younger crowd on social media.
